Teachers at Premier, both Leads and Assistant Teachers, are State certified, have received their Bachelor’s or Associate Degrees, and have earned their Child Development Associate (CDA) Credential or are working towards it. A minimum of a year’s experience teaching children is required.
A CDA is a national credential awarded by the Council for Early Childhood Professional Recognition. This credential requires at least 120 hours of formal training within the last five years.
Weekly lesson plans are posted in each classroom for your review. Every activity your child explores is age-appropriate and meets them where they are in their learning journey. As they dive into a unique blend of lessons, teachers help your little learner develop the key skills and knowledge they need for their next steps.
All staff members at Premier Early Learning Academy actively engage in conversations with children throughout the school day. As a small school, our staff gets to know each child (and family) and their unique needs personally.
Teachers read aloud to the children at least three times a day. In the older classes, children are also given time to read or look at books during center time and throughout the day.
Yes, immunizations are required. Religious exemptions are considered ono a case by case basis.
100% fruit juices and whole/1% milk is served ar Premier Early Learning Academy. We follow a 4-week rotating menu following USDA guidelines.
Every full classroom is supervised by a Lead Teacher and a Teaching Assistant. In some classrooms, there are two Lead Teachers.
We believe in positive reinforcement and effective praise with children. Negativity is not an option.
All teachers have taken the required state-mandated courses and have many certified clock hours of yearly early childhood training.
